Help the Leach Family in Their Time of Need
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters, I am reaching out on behalf of our beloved friends Chelsea and Brandon Leach. Chelsea, who is a devoted, caring, and loving mother of her husband and children, has been in the hospital for a heart condition that cardiologist specialists have not yet been able to identify. Her devoted husband has been by her side through all the tests and procedures, trying to make it as smooth and as comfortable as possible, while also coming home to be with his children every night.
I am reaching out to the community for help during this stressful and difficult time for them. Anything donated will be utilized to help cover costs of medical bills, gas for multiple trips to and from TMC, and family expenses while Brandon is not working so he can be able to continue to be present and support his wife and children during this difficult time. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a difference, and is greatly appreciated.
Please keep this wonderful family in your thoughts and prayers, and if you’re not able to give, sharing this link would mean the world. Thank you
A message from Chelsea :
So I have been pretty quiet and try to digest everything that has happened in the past week but because my friend was so sweet to start a go fund me to help support Brandon and I and the kids I wanted to give everyone and update and a little more information. I’ve been in and out of the hospital since early May. In May I was diagnosed with pneumonia and sepsis and was in the hospital almost 2 days. Then was back 2 more times with pneumonia not clearing up and I just couldn’t breathe. That was may and then June. I started struggling to breath again and decided to go back to ER. This time I was admitted and it wasn’t pneumonia. A echo was done and it was way worse then even the doctors had expected. I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. My ejection fractions is 10-15%. A health normal heart is between 55-70%. The left side of my heart is barely working. They have done a few tests and I have no blockages or narrowing of the heart. So right now we have no idea why my heart is so weak. Doctors are running special blood tests and I’ll be having more procedures in the next few weeks to try and find answers. As of now I’m in TMC. The cardiologist has started me on a bunch of meds to try and help my heart function as well as Lasix’s to keep the fluid from building back up around my heart and lungs. I’ll also be going home in a life vest which is a special heart monitor that can watch my heart 24/7 and if need be shock me and call 911 if I pass out from dangerous arrhythmia’s. This is a serious and scary diagnosis and I’m honestly still wrapping head around the fact that this happening. Thankfully friends and family have been amazing and we are so greatful. But this is going to be a long process with a lot of changes and obstacles to over come. Brandon’s work has been amazing and right now he is using up his vacation hours to be able to care for kids and be with me as much as he can. He also should get some medical leave also.
I’m overwhelmed at all the love and support from each and every one of you where you have donated, shared the go fund me or just shared words of encouragement and love it truly means so very much to me and my family. Thank you thank you thank you.
