The Lawn Chicks are Memphis’ only Trans owned and operated lawn service. Their founder Toni created this business as a way to create jobs for Transwomen who have been discriminated against by employers. The result of this discrimination often creates a cycle of poverty and incarceration, The Lawn Chicks have helped break that cycle for its employees.
Two days ago the Lawn Chicks’ only source of transportation was firebombed. While there is no proof, it is suspected that this crime was committed as an attack on the Transwomen who make this business run...a hate crime.
Without a truck, the Lawn Chicks cannot get to their clients, they cannot haul their equipment, they are absolutely unable to work.
Please help get this company back on its feet (and by feet, I mean wheels). Any little bit helps.
