Hi my name is Megan and Kymmie is my sister. Those who are close to me know that my sister means the world to me. She is the one that rushes to help me whenever I need her even though I am in New York and she is in Florida. Now it’s my turn to help. On 9/28 my sister, her husband, and their 5 kids urgently left their house at 3am as Hurricane Ian hit their home in Port Charlotte, Florida. They fled to their church where they thankfully were able to ride out the storm safely. However, upon returning home they quickly realized their home and all of their belongings were destroyed. Since they are renting and do not have renters insurance their belongings are not covered by home owners. Financially has been a struggle for my sister over the years as she has dedicated herself to taking care of her special needs son who is nonverbal. The spot where he usually sits in the living room, the roof collapsed on it. Such an ominous sign that shows how close to physical harm they were in if they had stayed. If you are able to please help out with whatever you can so that they can get the kids clothes and other important necessities. Thank you ❤️
