Help The Lara Family After House Fire

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Alexia Lara and on March 4th, 2023, a devastating fire destroyed a lot of what used to be my family home. Thankfully, everyone was found safe and sound. However, there was still significant damage to the house.

Having resided in this home for most of my life, this news was nothing less than heartbreaking for me and my family.

My mother, Araceli Lara, is a teacher assistant at Panda Path in Spring Branch ISD, a daycare leader/teacher at Houston's First Baptist Church, and works as an Amazon Flex package deliverer. After my dad, Jose Lara's, brain tumor diagnosis and his disablement, my mom became our primary householder. Having to work so many jobs and cover so many expenses has been incredibly stressful for my mother, and this news has only become another burden.

My parents are both immigrants that have worked incredibly hard to be able to give my sister, Daniela Lara (13), and me everything that we could ever need. This home was one of my parent's biggest accomplishments, as it showcased what could be accomplished with enough hard work and dedication. Which is why this housefire has been so greatly devastating.

Right now my family is having to find a place to live while the fire is under investigation. Because many expenses will continue, we ask that you consider making a donation to help ease some of my family's worries. If you live in the Spring Branch area of Houston and would like to donate some clothes to my family, please feel free to reach out. No donation is too small and anything helps. Please also share with family and friends. All help is welcome!

Thank you so much!

¡Muchas gracias!
