This fundraiser has been organised by the Lagan Dragons, Northern Ireland’s first dragon boat club for people affected directly or indirectly by breast cancer. We hold Community Amateur Sports Club status.

Our club is fundraising to take part in the International Breast Cancer festival this August in Aix-les-Bains, France. It only takes place every four years and involves over 4,500 participants from across the world who've had a breast cancer diagnosis.

Our club is more than just paddling — it’s a supportive community bringing together women, many of whom have faced breast cancer, to rebuild strength, confidence, and friendship.

We’re raising funds to help cover our registration fees and bespoke team kit, so that every member who wants to take part can do so without financial barriers.

For us, this event is about more than sport — it’s about resilience, connection, and celebrating life together.

Any donation, big or small, will help us get on the water and represent Lagan Dragons with pride. All donations will go directly to Lagan Dragons.

Members of Lagan Dragons are also sharing this fundraiser as part of our journey to France.
