A Plea for the Lafferty Family
On Sunday, November 16th, the Lafferty Family experienced the unimaginable. Their home was destroyed in a devastating fire, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
Dylan Lafferty, a dedicated Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy, and his wife, Destiny, a compassionate paramedic serving Montgomery County, have spent their lives rushing toward danger to protect and care for others. But this time, tragedy struck their own family.
That afternoon, Dylan and Destiny left home to celebrate their middle daughter’s 5th birthday—a joyful milestone for their three young girls, ages 11, 5, and 2 ½. The celebration was abruptly shattered by a call no family ever wants to receive: their home was ablaze, and nothing could be saved.
Now, this Willis-native couple is faced with the daunting task of starting over, rebuilding not only a house but the sense of security and stability for their three daughters.
As first responders, Dylan and Destiny have always been there for us—our neighbors, our community, our families. Today, they are the ones in need.
✨ Please consider helping the Lafferty Family as they begin the long road of recovery. Every donation, every act of kindness, brings them one step closer to restoring hope and rebuilding their lives.
Together, we can show them the same strength and compassion they have shown us time and time again.
