Help the Lafayette family

Hi, my name is Cait and I am fundraising for Melissa, Tina and Charlee Lafayette. On Friday 12/08/23 their daughter had an MRI of her head because she recently began experiences migraines. A few hours later they were called and told every parents worst nightmare, that their 11 year old daughter has a brain tumor. Charlee is a smart, kind and strong child. She has faced multiple medical challenges in her life such as being diagnosed with CRMO, an autoimmune disease that causes chronic pain. The tumor is on the left side of her brain which effects emotions and behavior, and will need to be removed. As of right now, they are hopeful that surgery will be the only course of treatment. This means numerous trips to Boston and Dartmouth, and unexpected expenses on this road ahead of them. It also means unpaid time from work for appointments and Charlee’s recovery time. The future is unclear for them right now and finances should be the least of their worries as they learn to navigate this new information and life change. Melissa and Tina are well known and loved in their community and I’m hoping that everyone can band together and support them, the way that they have supported others.
