We truly cannot believe the incredible outpouring of love and support for the Lacki family. ❤️

What started as a simple way for our baseball team to organize donations and rally around one of our own has grown into something so much bigger than we ever imagined. Our entire community has stepped up in ways that have left all of us completely overwhelmed with gratitude.

Because of YOU, we have surpassed the goals we originally set — and we cannot thank every single person who has donated, shared this fundraiser, reached out, offered help, or simply kept the Lacki family in their thoughts enough.

The Lacki family is okay, but they are still processing the enormity of what happened. Losing your home and everything inside of it in an instant is something none of us can truly imagine until we're faced with it. Right now, Jim, Sarah, and Lucas still need space, patience, and grace as they begin figuring out what their new normal looks like.

They are incredibly emotional and still trying to wrap their heads around everything that has happened, but please know this: they see your love, they feel your support, and they are unbelievably grateful. There simply aren't enough “thank yous” for them to express what this community has meant to them.

We will be keeping this GoFundMe open. As they begin the process of rebuilding their lives, new and unexpected expenses continue to arise — many things you would never even think about until suddenly you need to replace an entire household. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps more than you know.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for helping us wrap our arms around this incredible family when they need it most. Thank you for showing them that they are not alone.

Support for the Lacki family

Coach Jim, Ms. Sarah, and Lucas Lacki are facing the unimaginable after a devastating house fire that appears to have left their home a total loss. In just one night, the Lacki family lost so much and were left with very little beyond what they were wearing. What happened was incredibly frightening and overwhelming, and the days ahead will bring many urgent needs as they begin trying to recover from something no family should ever have to experience.

Right now, support for the Lacki family will help with immediate essentials like clothing, housing, food, and other urgent expenses as their needs become clearer in the days and weeks ahead. Just as importantly, Lucas will need the love and support of his teammates, classmates, and the entire Stingers family as he processes all that has happened. Please keep Coach Jim, Ms. Sarah, and Lucas in your thoughts, give them love, and support them however you can.
