Meet the amazing Lacayo Family! Fanny and Manny Lacayo have been foster parents for three years, helping over 17 foster children heal from the trauma of abuse, abandonment and neglect. They have three biological children and one adopted special needs child.
Last May, Fanny was diagnosed with Leukemia. After battling through chemotherapy, the family was hopeful when they had found an exact bone marrow transplant donor. But in December, just days before her transplant, doctors found that her cancer had returned.
As Fanny faces more intense chemotherapy treatments that require hospitalizations, the Lacayo family needs our support. With the loss of Fanny's job and having four school-age children, the Lacayo's need help covering medical bills and household expenses. With Manny working full time and taking care of Fanny in the evenings, the children require time and attention that Mom and Dad struggle to fulfill. Daily Manny feels that there is not enough time to meet the needs of Fanny and his children. Donations will cover medical procedures and chemotherapy treatments, medicines, food and mortgage payments, ensuring one less worry for the family by having a stable roof over their heads.
Let's help this incredible family that has given so much to our community's most vulnerable children. We are with Fanny and her family throughout her battle against cancer.
