Hello everyone,
My name is Dexter Krishnan, one of four children of Michele and Anantha Krishnan. My parents’ home of nearly 40 years - our childhood home - burned down in the Eaton Fire which devastated Altadena, CA. We were fortunate to get our parents to safety just before the mandatory evacuation. However, the magnitude of this loss is staggering.
For 40 years, this home wasn’t just a house. It was where my parents raised four children, welcomed five grandchildren, hosted countless family dinners, and opened their doors to neighbors and friends. This home has doubled as a community barbershop, a music rehearsal space, and a safe place to stay for many people who had nowhere else to go. It was a place filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. Those memories are now all that remain.
At a time when they should be enjoying the life they worked so hard to build, my parents are faced with starting over.
This campaign will help support my parents’ needs (including housing and medical) which are not fully covered by other sources of aid.
Any amount you can contribute—big or small—will help them regain a sense of stability and comfort. Your kindness means everything to us. Thank you for helping us bring hope back into their lives.
Sincerely,
Dexter, Daniel, Jasmine and Dustin Krishnan
