Last night, Zoey and Alex Krier and their three children experienced something no family should ever have to go through—their home in Pierson was destroyed by a devastating house fire. Thankfully, they all made it out safely, and for that we are incredibly grateful. But in a matter of moments, they lost their home and nearly everything they owned. What makes this especially heartbreaking is that Zoey and Alex just welcomed their baby boy two weeks ago. At a time when they should be settling into life with their newborn and enjoying those precious first weeks together as a family of five, they are instead facing the unimaginable task of starting over.

If you know Zoey and Alex, you know the kind of people they are. They are some of the kindest, most caring people I know. They are active in our community, always willing to help others, and the type of people who would be there in a heartbeat if someone else were going through a difficult time. Now it is our turn to be there for them. They have lost everything—the everyday things we often take for granted: clothing, baby supplies, furniture, household necessities, and the comfort and security of having a place to call home. We are raising funds to help Zoey, Alex, and their children with their immediate needs and the many expenses that will come as they begin rebuilding their lives.
