Help the Koutsidis Family in Their Time of Loss

It is with heavy hearts that we announce Iordanis (Jordan) Koutsidis 78, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Mount Sinai Hospital Astoria.

He was a kind person who would give the shirt from his back even if he didn't have it to give. Those who knew him loved him and he will be missed more than any words can describe. In an effort to offset some of the funeral cost and to assist in some unexpected expenses I am asking that in lieu of flowers you consider donating to help the family out during this difficult time.

He was born on October 23, 1945 in Giannitsa, Greece. He was the son of the late Dimitrious and Maria Koutsidis.

Iordanis spent his life in Greece with his family, served in the Greek Army and worked on merchant ships until coming to New York in 1969 where he met his wife and lived in Corona until 2016 where they moved to Ossining, NY.

Iordanis enjoyed horse racing, baseball, football, playing cards with his friends and was an avid hunter.

Iordanis is survived by his wife Jennie of 52 years, his three daughters, Anastasia, Maria, her husband, Son in Law Joe Camastra and Dimitria. Iordanis was a Papou to Jordan, Peter and Angela who were his greatest joy. He was a Godfather, Uncle, Cousin and Friend to many who will miss him dearly.
