Hello everyone and thank you for being so patience while Rebekah and Beverly navigate this new series of events.

A few times over the past 8 months Honour would have these episodes(which are now known to be seizures) where she would zone out and lose coordination/balance for a couple of minutes. They seemed easily explained and happened so rarely that months would go by until the next one. Recently it started happening more often, which lead to them setting up a doctors appointment. He had experience with these seizures being caused by tumors in pediatric patients so he referred them to the hospital where they did a CT scan. The CT scan showed encephalomalacia and they were transferred to the children's hospital. The neurologists did a 24hr EEG test as well as an MRI where they found a tumor in the right temporal parietal region. At this time they are not sure if it is benign or malignant. The doctors just want to get it out and will go from there. Her surgery is scheduled for Monday and she will be staying in the hospital for around a week to recover. The doctors have said that they do not anticipate any complications at this time. Honour will also be on anti seizure medication until they can find out more information.

The Klein-Brook family appreciates all the love and kind words everyone has been sending their way. However they are navigating this new and different challenge and responding to all of these loving messages can still be very overwhelming. They understand that everyone wants to be here to support them but again, it can become draining over time. Any sort of new information is being communicated to close family and we will update you as things progress.

Honour has been wonderful during this time. She is curious about everything and everyone. The doctors and nurses absolutely love her and she loves to try to help them with her leads and IV. She does miss home though. Moms are confident that the doctors know what they are doing and that she will be safe.
