Help the Klabo family recover from house fire

Donation protected
In the dark, early morning hours on December 3, Silverdale residents Trig Klabo and his daughter Hannah lost everything in a massive house fire.

Fortunately, a watchful neighbor called 911 to report the fire. Retired Washington State Ferries Captain Trig Klabo was able to jump from his roof to escape the blaze. Fortunately, he sustained only minor scrapes, but now he is left with just the torn and soot-covered clothing he had on at the time.

Hannah, a college student and a current employee of WSF herself, has also lost everything.

Together, they have their health, their family, and the strength to move forward but are left with nothing else. The home and its entire contents are a complete loss.

We understand that the holidays are always busy, often stressful, and extra spending on gifts and events is the norm. However, please consider making a donation to this GoFundMe. It has been created as the sole centralized place for donations that will be used for Capt. Trig and Hannah’s immediate needs in the coming days and weeks: shelter, food and clothing, fuel for travel, and other basic survival needs as they regain a sense of calm and begin the process of recovery from this tragic loss. Thank you.

Any donation is welcome and appreciated!
