My wife has been bravely battling cancer for two years. It started with a breast cancer diagnosis, and after enduring a double mastectomy and all the challenges that came with it, we thought we were through the worst. But recently, she was diagnosed with stage 4 bone cancer. The doctors have told us that without treatment, her time is limited, but there are other options out there—clinical trials and specialists who might be able to help. The problem is, these specialists are out of town, and getting to them takes resources we just don’t have right now.

Our family’s first priority is to buy a reliable car so we can get my wife to the care she needs. We also need help with hotel rooms and travel expenses, since many of these appointments are far from home. I want to do everything I can to give her a fighting chance, including reaching out to cancer experts around the country and even the world. On top of all this, we’re hoping to put a down payment on a house so we can have a lower mortgage payment and some stability, instead of renting during such an uncertain time.

We’re doing everything we can, but time is not on our side. Any help anyone could give the Kirk family sure would change the course of our lives, along with changing the course of my wife’s fight with cancer.
