Two years ago I was diagnosed with stage IV cancer and told there was a 20% chance I’d be alive today. With the help of family, friends, God, a great medical team, and most importantly my spouse Laura I’m still here fighting. As long as there’s a 1% chance I’ll make it I’ll never stop.
At the time we were planing on starting a family so we had some semen samples frozen and said we would come back to it once the cancer was under control. Unfortunately it looks like this will be a much longer fight than expected so we want to try to move forward with starting a family now. Unfortunately with limited samples frozen our best option is IVF (a very expensive but most successful option).
My wife put all of her goals and dreams on hold at such a young age to help care for me and she deserves to be the one thing she’s always wanted to be, a great mother. I’ve wanted to be a father for so long now, I’m done letting cancer get in my way.
