HELP THE KING FAMILY REBUILD THEIR HOME
Donation protected
On 4/3/2021, the unimaginable happened to Brian and Starr, any families worst nightmare come true, to watch your home turn into a pile of ashes. Your whole life, memories, personal belongings, medications for their disabled infant son, as well as all the product from a new small business that Starr spent the last year on building and creating, and was finally able to launch just last week.
Unfortunately, the King family is not new to overcoming struggle and obstacles. This past year, they were dealt with all of the challenges of having a newborn child born with a rare genetic disorder, Bohring-Opitz syndrome that CHOP themselves were still learning about due to the rare amount of cases.
They have spent the past year with more sleepless nights than anyone could count, than any new parents could ever imagine, living at the hospital more than living in their own home, while baby August fought for his life, in addition to still caring for their 2 year old son Malachi. In addition to living at the hospital this past year, baby August was finally able to have the skull surgery he needed just a short 2 weeks ago and is still recovering. This was the first weekend in many months they were not going to be in the hospital, their son was finally on the road to recovery, and a joyous Easter weekend spent with family and worship was on the horizon.
Unfortunately this never happened.
Now Brian and Starr are not only tasked with the high costs of replacing medications, but diapers, food, clothes, all personal and household products, all while still dealing with Augusts recent recovery. It will be a long road to feel settled, safe, secure and situated again, and they need our help, our help to rebuild.
