My name is Ben, and I live in Ohio. I am creating this link for my friends the Khalid family (Ali and Wafaa, children – Khaled, Hamoud and Mira) in the Gaza strip, who are unable to create it themselves due to restrictions within Gaza. I will send any funds generated, to the family.

This donation page is not about survival, but about renewal and hope. Ali was a successful carpenter and painter before the war and supported his young and growing family. During the war, all of his tools were destroyed or lost, and although the opportunities are limited, he wants to obtain the basic tools needed to begin work so that he can support the family and not rely on donations.

Ali and the family yearn for self-sufficiency and want to support themselves again. That’s what this campaign is for.

What we are asking for is the funds to buy the basic tools so that he can begin work again. With that work, he will hopefully gain the ability to support his family, but also the opportunity to obtain more tools, and be able to expand his business once again. If they are fortunate enough, we will obtain secondary tools that can further support his business. All are listed below.

They are incredibly grateful for the support they’ve received to survive, but now see an opportunity to make their own way again, with just a little help.
