Help the KERR’s with Finn’s Medical Expenses.

Hello,

My name is Logan S. I am starting this GoFundMe for my friend and Sergeant Aaron KERR, his wife Kayley, and their son Finn. Aaron and I work for the Alberta Sheriff’s Highway Patrol with the Capital West Unit in Edmonton, Alberta.

Aaron and Kayley brought Finn into the world two years ago. From the beginning, Finns journey has been a tough one. Finn was born with numerous health issues that required him to stay in the hospital for the majority of his early life.

Throughout this, Aaron and Kayley have been steadfast in their care and support for Finn. They’ve remained positive and optimistic throughout, which is admirable. I can’t say I would handle it the same. From the outside looking in, I can only assume this has been the most stressful yet rewarding few years of their lives. Finn has the most wonder smile and seems to enjoy life.

Last week, Finn was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Cerebral palsy (CP) is a group of disorders that affect a person’s ability to move and maintain balance and posture.

Finn also developed another medical complication that requires Aaron and/or Kayley to keep Finn under constant observation and eventually, Finn will need brain surgery.

This means one or both of them have to take time off work. Aaron has taken an extended leave from work but after two years of medical complications, the Government of Alberta only covers so much paid time off.

That said, Myself and other Sheriff’s and Peace Officers we work with discussed the idea of creating this fund raiser. We would like to raise funds to help Aaron and Kayley with any bills or shortfalls that taking so much time off work brings.
