On Monday, March 28th, this precious family endured one of the worst nightmares. Their family home had caught fire. Our cousin (who is considered more like a sister-in-law to us) was home alone caring for their sick foster baby when she noticed smoke in their home. By the grace of God, she was able to grab the baby and their dogs and get out in time. But their home was engulfed in flames, and she could not grab any belongings safely. The rooms that were not wholly destroyed are now covered in soot and were soaked while the firefighters tried to control the flames. The fire seems to have started in the attic and has done irreparable damage to the roof. At this time, the structure of the home is not stable and trying to salvage anything could be extremely dangerous.
Thankfully, everyone is ok physically but mentally, emotionally and financially; it will take time to recover from such a horrific tragedy. This family is under an immense amount of stress and has a difficult road ahead, and now more than ever, they will need the support of their friends and family. Anything you can give to help the Kerr family rebuild during this horrific time would be so appreciated as they start to recover.
