Help the Kennedy Family Rebuild After Devastating Flood Loss
Donation protected
Wynne and John Kennedy, along with their children Lucy and Walker, have lost nearly everything after a catastrophic flood destroyed their home and property in a matter of hours.
Floodwaters tore through the house, ripping doors off their hinges and carrying away nearly all of their belongings. The entire first floor was devastated: doors ripped off, furniture and appliances ruined or gone, and the structural, electrical, and plumbing systems of the home severely damaged. A tree crashed into Lucy’s bedroom which will require a new roof. A toppled china cabinet shattered irreplaceable family heirlooms.
At the time of the flood, Lucy was away at Camp Mystic. Her bedroom was completely destroyed—along with all her belongings and everything she had taken to camp. The family is holding her close now, overwhelmed but grateful she is home safe.
While the Kennedys were able to evacuate safely without injury & with their animals, their home is no longer livable and may need to be demolished entirely. They are facing the painful reality of starting over from scratch—physically, emotionally, and financially.
We’re raising funds to help this kind, generous family begin to rebuild their lives. Every dollar will go directly toward housing, essentials, and recovery costs in the wake of this unimaginable loss.
If you’re able to give, please consider supporting the Kennedys. And if you can’t give right now, please help by sharing their story.
