On the evening of September 12, 2025, tragedy struck the Kelso-Pace family of South Park, PA. L'Quie "Luccy" Kelso and Robert Pace Sr., along with their children Robert Jr. (8), Riley (5), and Noah (4), lost their home and all their belongings in a devastating house fire. Thankfully, everyone escaped safely, but the family was left with nothing but the clothes they wore—Luccy and the children didn’t even have shoes. Their car and the few items inside were all that remained, and even their cell phones were lost in the fire.
This young couple purchased their home in November 2023 and quickly became part of the South Park community. Robert Jr. plays little league football and Riley cheers with her local squad, making friends and memories in their new neighborhood. Luccy works in the medical field, and Robert was self-employed, working from home in insurance. Now, they are in urgent need of financial help for temporary housing, food, clothing, furniture, toys, computers, cell phones, and more. The support of friends, neighbors, and strangers will make a real difference as they start over.
From the family: "We are overwhelmed by the love, prayers, and support we’ve received during this devastating time. Losing everything in the fire has been heartbreaking, but we are deeply grateful for the kindness of those who are helping us rebuild our lives. Your generosity brings us hope, comfort, and strength as we begin again. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you."
