Help The Kaur Family Receive Medical Care

In my capacity as Manager at the Carabelle Motel, I have had the blessed privilege of getting to know our Housekeeper Jaswinder Kaur very well.  Jazz, as we call her, is also an international college student who came to Timmins from India. Over the past couple of years, we have watched her work hard at the motel while maintaining her full-time studies at Northern College. Jazz’s quiet, warm, friendly, hard-working and approachable demeanor has endeared us greatly to her. During this short time, she has become our dear friend and has even grown to become part of our family.

As we all know the Covid-19 Pandemic has been difficult for everyone. This global pandemic has brought hardships to so many. And Jazz’s family was no exception.  Tragically, during the past 16 days, this horrific virus has stricken all seven members of her family particularly hard including the youngest: her one-year old niece (picture above) and on May 4, 2021, our housekeeper and friend learned with grief and sorrow that her youngest and dear sister had succumbed to it. What makes this terrible ordeal even worse is that the resources in this small remote village is extremely limited.  Consequently, the family does not have  the adequate funds to access much needed medical care, medication, intervention and assistance. As a result they are left on their own to fend for their lives.

I am earnestly reaching out for your help and sincerely appealing to the community’s compassion with this request. Can you help me help this family?  Your contributions and donations would be of tremendous help to them during this time of dire need. I am presently organizing to accumulate basic supplies and necessities for the Kaur family.  With your help and generosity, we can make such a difference!  This virus is brutal and lethal, it has no respect for human life.  And because this family’s condition is worsening, time is of the essence.
