On July 24, 2025, the Katayama family’s home was devastated by an electrical fire that resulted in a total loss of their possessions and major structural damage. Thankfully, everyone—including their beloved dog—is safe, but the impact has been overwhelming. They’re now navigating insurance claims and slowly starting to rebuild from scratch.
