We are the Kasuba’s! We have 4 kids- a 12 year old, a 9 year old, a 4 year old and a 3 year old. Since the day after Christmas 2025(his birthday) My husband has been battling an infection in his hand that started as what he thought was a strain. But it ended up being an infection that was determined to be gram + cocci (could possibly be staph) from the culture. He had surgery and was sent home with oral antibiotics. Healing looked just fine up until this past Wednesday, the 28th of January. After he came home from work the swelling started up again and he said it felt like it was going to explode and that the pain was radiating down to his elbow. He took himself back to HCA Hospital and started the whole process over. Right now I’m waiting for him to get out of surgery to go see him and how it went. I see him trying to calculate bills, I see the pressure building up, he’s trying to continuously ask when he can get out and get back to work. The truth is he needs to rest or we might have to start the process over, and this time he’ll be sent home with an IV antibiotic. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Nothing is too small.

He might be able to get disability pay, but last time it still put us in a bind because it was only about 1/2 of what we need and it took about a month once they finally filed it for it to hit his bank account leaving us white knuckling while he was recovering and getting back to work the first time.
