Brandon and Shyla Kahle just welcomed a beautiful baby girl to the world on Thursday, April 10. Hilda, their third child and second daughter, was born with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia that required major life-saving surgery 3 days after birth to repair. But even with the surgery, Hilda and the Kahle family have a long road ahead. Hilda's lungs weren't able to fully develop due to the diaphragmatic hernia. As a result, she will need to spend 4-6 months, and possibly longer, in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) until her lungs develop fully and she can breathe on her own.

Brandon is a long-time Red Wing Shoe Company employee and works in BT on the Information Security Team. We're starting this GoFundMe to raise funds for the Kahle family to augment insurance and cover any of Hilda's medical deductible and other family incidental expenses they will face over the coming months as they care for her and their other two children.
