Help the Kaberline Family in Their Time of Grief

Donation protected
Joseph L. Kaberline memorial fund set up by Bridgid Wurtz to help the family pay for funeral arrangements and any other costs that they are enduring at this time of grief.

On Thursday, September 4th, as a result of a senseless, unexpected, and very unfortunate act of violence, an innocent life was tragically taken from many people who loved him. If you are able to help the family of Joseph "Joey" Kaberline put him to rest and with expenses that they may have during this awful time, it would be greatly appreciated.

Joey was a special son, father, grandson, life partner, family member, and friend who was taken away much too soon and who will certainly be missed by many and never forgotten.

A one-week meal train has also been set up for the Kaberline family at mealtrain.com/trains/698vwd.

Listen to Obituary
Joseph “Joey” Lee Kaberline, 37, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away on September 4, 2025, at his home where he lived with his father.

Born in Topeka, Joey was known for his skill and dedication as a handyman. Whether it was fixing things around the house, taking on larger home projects, or tending to the garden, he approached every task with care and pride. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors and fishing.

Joey was a quiet man, a man of few words, yet his strength and loyalty spoke volumes. He carried himself with calm dependability and was always there for his loved ones. More than anything, Joey devoted himself to his family. He was ready to help without being asked, and his dependability made him the “rock” that many leaned on.

He is survived by his adored children: daughter, Jordan Kaberline; and sons, Joseph E. Kaberline and Noah Kaberline. Others left to cherish his memory include his father, Joseph J. Kaberline; his mother, Kelly Kaberline; his sisters, Kimberly (Eric) Petersen and Kelsey Kaberline; and his brother, James Flowers III.

Joey will be remembered as a strong, loyal, and selfless man whose quiet nature was a source of comfort to many. His presence will be profoundly missed, and his memory will be forever cherished by family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Parker-Price and Davidson, 245 NW Independence, Topeka, Kansas 66608. His family will greet friends and relatives one hour before the service. He will be laid to rest at Rochester Cemetery in Topeka, KS.
