Most who know me or my parents know that I've struggled with health issues for many years now. My parents have been my #1 supporters emotionally, physically, and financially. They've completely covered the cost of every appointment, prescription, and test, and they've helped me as much as possible with paying for food, clothes, car repairs, etc. while I've been in school. Also, they haven't kicked me out of the house, haha! Basically, they've been the best parents ever.

Because they are who they are, they didn't bat an eye when I decided to see a private, out-of-state specialist in hopes of finding medical answers. They paid for the fuel, airfare, hotels, and appointments. Despite this specialist not taking health insurance, my parents were dedicated to doing whatever was necessary to help me, as always!

Though it was an expensive risk, it paid off. After 8 years of chronic illness and endless appointments, I've been diagnosed with Lyme disease which has caused chronic, widespread inflammation in my body. I've begun the treatment plan, but it will be some time until I am feeling better due to the extensive nature of the inflammation the disease has caused.

Like the appointments and tests leading to this diagnosis, the treatments are not cheap. Additionally, 2 of our 3 cars need work done on them in the next couple weeks. My wonderful parents will not take the bit of money I have saved since high school, but I've convinced them to let me set up this GoFundMe to help pay the bills they've taken on from my diagnosis/treatments and the car repairs.
