Help the Jones-Wilson Family Rebuild Their Lives
Donation protected
We are going to do our best to help our colleagues regroup and focus on rebuilding their lives.
Two of our JPL colleagues, Laura and William Jones-Wilson, and their 3 year old daughter Autumn have lost everything in the Eaton fire that devastated their town of Altadena, CA.
On Tuesday (Jan 7) night, they were at their house having dinner with Laura's family when Laura's parents got a call that there was a fire in the canyon by their home and they needed to evacuate. Laura's parents live ten minutes east of them so they rushed to get their pets, and Laura and William started getting ready to leave as well as a precaution. Laura and William gathered their pets (2 cats) and most important items and left before 8pm. That was the last time they saw their house standing. They were able to bring a few clothes, a couple of Autumn's toys, and important documents, but nothing else.
They need to re-build their lives from scratch. Mortgage payments are still due though there is no house. Our goal is to raise the funds to help them get through three months of expenses so they can address their personal needs with as little stress as possible.
Please consider helping Laura, William, and Autumn! If you have already donated directly through their Venmo/Zelle, thank you! Any contributions are much appreciative. They are posting updates on their website: https://www.laurawilliam.com/
