Our family is desperately in need of community support again. We have been struggling greatly since the passing of our mom/Jason’s wife, Lisa Jones, in late February of this year. Her passing was traumatic, sudden but drawn-out, shocking and painful, but a blessing at the same time. Grief, depression, and the general decline of the economy have hit us hard. We have been trying to find ways to figure things out financially while everyone works on maintaining their mental health, getting back to work, and trying to get back on our feet. We’ve had numerous therapy and medical expenses (some of us are currently without health insurance and therapy due to the cost), unexpected issues with the house that needed taken care of, all of our usual car payments and bills that just seem to grow and grow, and work schedules being cut short/clients not filling up when those hours are so desperately needed. We took a couple of high interest loans out of necessity that have to now be paid off, and our grandmother’s credit card accounts had to be closed due to someone getting her information and attempting to max out her cards. We have sold belongings that we’ve unearthed as we clear out the house to make room for all of it’s new occupants, and everyone is trying as hard as they can to bring in more money, with very little luck.

We are very upset that we have to ask for support from our community once again, especially when so many others are struggling as well, but if there’s anything that these horrible, trying times teach us - it’s that community is the one thing that can truly make a change.
