Help The Johnsons After Devastating House Fire
Donation protected
My name is Cortney Marotto and I am a close friend to Connie and Bruce Johnson and their son Jesse. After speaking with Connie and their son, I felt this was the best way to provide a way for friends, family, neighbors, and the community who have asked how they can help the family out.
At approximately 7 pm, on November 20, a fire started in the Johnson home, in Northumberland, PA, with Connie, Bruce, their three dogs, and their cat all in the home at the time. Connie and Bruce and 2 of their dogs were able to safety escape the fire, however 1 dog and their cat were unaccounted for. Firefighters were able to locate their third dog alive, yet very wet and scared under the couch. She has since been cleared by vet and is home with Bruce and their two other dogs. Unfortunately, their beloved cat did not survive the fire. :(
As for their home, it is a complete lost! The family lost everything. It is heartbreaking to know they have only been left with the clothes on their backs. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
Please help us help them. This will be used for immediate necessities such as clothes, shoes, medicines, shelter, etc. as they are left with absolutely nothing.
Thank you to everyone who has supported them last night and this morning, especially making sure all dogs were accounted for. Thank you to the many fire departments that aided in putting the fire out and finding their beloved puppy.
On behalf of Connie, Bruce, and Jesse, thank you in advance. It is going to be an incredibly long road for them, however we are beyond thankful to still have them here with us. We appreciate any support! Thank you ❤️
