Help the Jazz Master of El Paso

Hi! I'm Patty Tiscareño, most recently the vocalist of PT & the Cruisers and a proud supporter of the bright and brilliant music scene in El Paso. The musicians and musical enthusiasts, especially jazz, in our community owe a debt of gratitude to Dennis "Dee" Woo for her lifelong commitment to empowering musicians in El Paso. Dee has been a journalist and in broadcasting since 1969. She has been involved in theatre since 2015, and currently sits on the Los Actores Bilingual Theatre board. Music, however, has been the fabric behind her life and her voice has been behind the microphone of the morning jazz show on KTEP.

Think El Paso Prime Time, The Weekend, On Film, Good to Grow, Perspectives, Words on a Wire, Science Studio, Friday Night Blues for a start and you begin to see the impact Dee has made on music and theatre in our community.

Every local recording musician - from classical to rock - has engaged Dee's help in promoting their work on air. For all the times Dee has been there for us, it is now time for us to be there for her.

Dee has a dire cancer diagnosis and I ask for your financial support to help reduce her burden. In the words of John Coltrane, "When you begin to see the possibilities of music, you desire to do something really good for people."
