Help the Jason Borup Family with medical bills
Donation protected
We are reaching out to our community in search of support for a beloved friend and educator.
Jason sustained a fatal brain injury during an extended cardiac arrest on Wednesday. He was declared brain dead on Thursday after the doctors confirmed there are no reflexes whatsoever in any part of his brain.
Jason's big heart and other organs will be shared with others who need them, which was his wish. And his body is sustaining them well, which is a blessing. We will know more about opportunities to say goodbye once the timing is known.
Jason was many things. But a father above all else. Of all the Jason-sized holes he is leaving, it is his boys he would want us to love the hardest right now.
We seek prayers for Jason and his loved ones, while any financial donations from those able to contribute will be very greatly appreciated. His mother Julia and twin sister Angie will manage all donations.
Thank you deeply for all the encouraging prayers, kind thoughts, warm words, and contributions for Jason and his family. His family would like to extend their appreciation to the students who found him and to the people who attempted CPR. Even the paramedics were unable to bring him back. There was nothing you could do. Thank you for being there for him during his time of need.
We will continue to keep everyone informed of Jason's condition and to update the community as new information is available.
In addition there has been a scrapbook set up that will also give updates as the family plans for meeting and gatherings for Jason.
