Last night, the James family’s world changed in an instant….emergency room, and then a flood…

Sunday afternoon their youngest daughter suffered a serious accident and split open her face. While they were in the emergency room caring for her, the storm was at its worst…. and floodwaters were rising inside their home.

They are a young family here in Redding whose belongings destroyed, home in shambles and their lives suddenly turned upside down.

Without flood insurance, they are now displaced, unable to return home, and facing a devastating loss.

The damage is overwhelming:

Floors ruined.

Furniture destroyed.

Electrical systems compromised.

Christmas gifts lost.

Their home ….and their holiday …gone.

They are now searching for temporary housing and trying to figure out how to move forward.

If you know the James family, you know this…they are the ones who usually show up for everyone else.

They are a giving family.

Small business owners.

The worship leaders at Risen King Church.

People who pour into our community with open hands and open hearts.

They are the kind of family who lifts others up.

Now it’s our turn to lift them.

This is not just about replacing floors or furniture …. it’s about restoring safety, stability, and hope for a family who desperately needs it right now.
