To Our Generous Family, Friends, and Acquaintances,

It’s surreal to think that just a week ago, our town was still standing. We are overwhelmed by the incredible support we’ve received from all of you, financially and otherwise. We never expected such a response and are deeply grateful.

It’s been a crazy week, but we can now focus our efforts on helping our friends and neighbors who are truly in need. We’re fortunate to have our jobs and to now understand that we have strong insurance coverage, but many in our community aren’t so lucky.

As we begin to regain our balance, we want you to know that the funds we’ve received will be directed toward supporting our local community and those not as fortunate as us. We feel it’s the best way to pay forward the kindness and support that have meant so much to us.

We’ll keep this GoFundMe open to channel support, but we ask you to prioritize donations directly to others in need, and consider employer donation matching. Words can’t express how thankful we are for the incredibly generous donations. We are deeply grateful, and we know that our family is very fortunate and we are luckily insured. Many we know are not as lucky. Our priority will be to use them to help rebuild our community. From helping our daughter’s school as they try to maintain stability for the children and educate them elsewhere, to making sure our neighbors have what they need, especially those who aren’t fortunate enough to have insurance and/or local family. We are committed to helping wherever we can. We are blown away by the generosity and promise every penny will be used to help repair what got lost.

On the evening of January 7th, our beloved Coury, Niko, Bennie (2), and Bowie (8 months) lost their home in the devastating Palisades Fire in Los Angeles, which destroyed their entire neighborhood. Thankfully, they were able to evacuate with their dogs, Nellie and Ember, along with some baby supplies and a few treasured belongings.

As many of you know, this is an incredibly difficult time for the Jacob family. We’ve set up a GoFundMe campaign to help them navigate the coming weeks and months, covering essential expenses such as meals, temporary housing, and replacing necessities. All funds raised will go directly to the family to help them recover.

We are deeply grateful to God that they are all safe and together. With their strength and resilience, we know they will emerge from this tragedy stronger than ever, especially with the love and support of family, friends, and this community.
