Help the Issa Family Survive and Leave Gaza

I am a US citizen and I have been raising funds for the Issa family for some years now. They have been struggling to survive in the economy of Gaza and are living in the city where 1.5 million people are now seeking refuge. Like many, they are likely to be expelled from their homes soon and they are themselves the descendants of people expelled from their homes in 1948. I have verified and kept up a relationship with them for long enough to vouch for who they are, their character, and I am hoping that you will read this appeal and be open to being of assistance. This is one of the few things we can contribute in a time of such tragedy and violence. Please see Fawzy's statement below. The funds will be used to help the family survive and to resettle this family of four, when the border reopens. They will be transferred by myself to his account.

Hey friends and everyone,

My name is Fawzy Issa just a dad from Rafah, Gaza. I’m trying hard to hold the world together for my 2 kids in a place where keeping them safe feels like an impossible job. We've been living under the shadow of bombs and rockets for what feels like forever now. It's been more than 134 days. 134 days of trying to find a speck of normal in a world that's anything but.

Every day, we wake up not knowing if it's our last. The indiscriminate missiles around us, are a constant reminder of the genocide happening right outside our door and the thought that maybe we are the next target is so devastating. Finding food or any basic needs has turned into a mission, with danger lurking at every corner. Imagine trying to find a loaf of bread or a bottle of water when every step outside could be your last. That's our reality that even these words can’t describe it.

I'm reaching out to you with a heavy heart now because, honestly, we're running out of options. I don't know if we'll make it through this, but there's a sliver of hope that maybe, just maybe, we can survive by getting out of here. Your donation could be our ticket to escaping this terrifying genocide, our chance at a future beyond the sound of bombs and the fear that comes with living in a war zone.

It's been tough, more than words can say. But during all this chaos, I still have hope. Hope that humanity hasn't forgotten about us and that there are people out there willing to lend a hand.
