Two weeks before Christmas in 2019, our friend and long time Woodbury resident, Nick Irizarry, was diagnosed with Stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer. He was placed in an immunotherapy trial for a few months, but was unable to tolerate the side effects. He has since been moved to a more traditional yet aggressive chemotherapy plan, which quite frankly has really kicked his butt. He loves his job at the JCC of Rockland and tried to do all he could to continue to support his wife, Corrina, and their 3 daughters, but sadly, he is now unable to work and has had to apply for disability, We would like to take the burden and stress off of this family and help cover living expenses and his many medical bills while he rests at home. They will soon have 2 daughters(Rylee and Hailee) in college and with the medical bills piling up, money will be super tight. While we realize we are all living in trying times during this global crisis, we wanted to create this page in hopes that you can donate to this sweet family of five. Nick is always the life of the party, has a very positive attitude and loves nothing more then to watch his baby girl, Morgan, play soccer for her World Class soccer team. He is a devoted husband and wonderful father and friend. The outpouring of love and support since learning his diagnosis has been overwhelming and the family is super thankful. Please keep him in your prayers. The family looks forward to seeing him get the rest his body needs and appreciates all the help from friends and family ❤️
