Help the Ireland family while Dave fights AML.
Donation protected
Hi, we are asking for support for the Ireland family while Dave fights Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Dave is the husband of Laura and the father of Lisa(8) and Leah(3).
Dave was admitted to John's Hopkins on June 17th after two days in the ER. After multiple tests, he was diagnosed with AML with the FTL3 mutation. Chemo was started on June 23rd.
We know that Dave will need 2 rounds of intense chemo and a bone marrow transplant. He will be inpatient for the first round of chemo. The second round will be outpatient, but that requires the family to get housing close to Hopkins during the second round of chemo and after his bone marrow transplant. The doctors have told him that he will be unable to work for at least one year.
Laura has been traveling back and forth to be there for both her husband at the hospital and her two sweet daughters at home. They are blessed to have health insurance but the deductibles are adding up, along with the cost of traveling. Laura plans to return to work as she can but she will still have to take some unpaid time off to help take care of Dave.
Any help will make it easier to focus on getting Dave healthy and back to his daughters and the farm that he loves.
There are several ways you can help:
1. Please keep Dave and his family in your prayers.
2. If you are between the age of 18-40 go to bethematch.com and register to be a donor. You might have the chance to save someone's life!
3. Donate to help them through this unexpected, very serious disease.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
