On May 21st 2025, our family’s world was turned upside down when a fire destroyed our home. We lost nearly everything—our belongings, our memories, and most heartbreakingly, our beloved cat Bandit. Bandit was more than just a pet—he was an emotional support animal who brought deep comfort to us, especially during hard times. Losing him has been absolutely heartbreaking.

The fire has displaced our entire family, including our surviving pets. We had just signed a new lease in June, never imagining we’d have to start over so suddenly. We now find ourselves without a home and without the means to secure new accommodations.

On top of this, we are already facing serious health challenges. My grandfather, Harry, is preparing to have a port placed in case he needs to begin dialysis in the near future. My grandmother, Jean, is aging and enduring the lasting effects of a traumatic brain injury, which has made daily life more difficult and fragile. All of us are managing various health issues, and this unexpected tragedy has left us feeling overwhelmed, devastated, and unsure of how to move forward.

We’re reaching out for help from anyone who is able. Any contribution—no matter the size—will go directly toward helping us secure a safe place to live, replace basic necessities, and support both our medical needs and our surviving pets as we begin to rebuild our lives.
