Help the Hurley Family Overcome Medical Bills

Hello,

I'm Kelsey, and I am coworkers and good friends with Jessica Hurley, the mother featured in the story with NBC. They had recently reached out to Jessica, hearing of her story from a non-profit Jessica had contacted last year to help her with her very complex and devastating medical bills.

I have seen firsthand everything Jessica has been through, which began when she was put on bed rest at 19 weeks. She experienced multiple medical scares during her pregnancy with the twins and had them in the NICU at 32 weeks. Not only was Jessica hospitalized for over a week, but the twins spent 40 days and 68 days in the NICU. Since the babies were born in late December 2022, the Hurleys' insurance then rolled over beginning January 2023. Their family out-of-pocket expenses were $28,500 each of those years. Although Jessica has fought hard for the past two years (which has put a tremendous amount of stress on her and the family) and their bills have been worked down, there is still a significant amount out of pocket. There are also STILL medical claims pending.

Not only do they have these bills, but they have also incurred follow-up bills, bills from multiple surgeries for Kinser, and as if this isn't enough (some of you may know), Jimmy spent three days in the ICU following a brain injury last April, which has brought on even more financial burden. I am asking you to please consider helping this family! They are wonderful and hardworking people and would do the same for anyone else!
