On July 3rd, our home suffered a devastating flood after a pipe upstairs burst. Our first floor had a foot of water, our ceilings collapsed, the staircase was a literal waterfall, and our second floor unfortunately has so much damage that even the subfloor is caving in. As though that wasn’t bad enough, with the heat and humidity, we’ve got mold. We are going to be out of our home for months, most of our material possessions are destroyed, and we are now truly struggling in ways that I never imagined.
