It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that I share the devastating news of a tragedy that has struck our family. Our beloved mother, Donna Hunter, passed away tragically on 10/14/25 in a devastating house fire. Our father, Paul Hunter, was severely injured and is currently in critical condition at the JMS Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia.

The fire not only took our mother's life and their two little dogs, but also completely destroyed their home and all their possessions. Our father is fighting for his life and facing a long, arduous recovery and multiple surgeries, all while dealing with the grief of losing his wife and his home.

The Financial Need

Our family is reeling from the emotional shock and is now facing overwhelming financial hardship. We are reaching out to our community for urgent assistance to cover the immediate and ongoing costs of this tragedy. My mother was disabled and did not have any life insurance.

The donations raised will go directly to support three critical needs:

1. Funeral and Memorial Expenses: To give our mom, Donna Hunter, the respectful memorial and funeral she deserves.

2. Medical Bills and Recovery: To cover the extensive medical costs for our dad, Paul Hunter, including his care at the burn center, future surgeries, and physical rehabilitation.

3. Basic Necessities: To help our dad begin to rebuild his life once he is released from the hospital, as he has lost everything.
