Hi everyone, my name is Katie Hunt, and I’m reaching out to ask for your help during an incredibly difficult time for our little family — my husband Graeme, our one-year-old daughter Evelynn, and me.

Back in July, there was a fire across the hallway from our apartment, and I had to go to the hospital due to smoke inhalation. During a chest X-ray, doctors found a nerve sheath tumor deep in my chest near my spine. Since then, I’ve undergone two MRIs, a biopsy, lung function testing, and countless blood tests, with more ahead. I’m now preparing for a surgery to remove the tumor. It’s been an emotionally and physically exhausting journey, especially after already having gallbladder surgery just a month before all this began. As a stay-at-home mom, my main focus has always been taking care of our sweet Evelynn — but lately, my health has made even simple things so much harder. The tumor causes constant fatigue, pain, and tingling in my shoulder, and some days it’s a struggle just to keep up. The medical bills from my previous surgery, all the recent testing, and the upcoming procedure have put a financial strain on our family. We’re doing our best to stay positive, but between recovery time, follow-up care, and daily expenses, we’re feeling the weight of it all. We’re asking for any help — no matter how small — to help us cover medical bills, recovery costs, and support for our family while I heal.
