For over a year, we've cared for this colony of feral cats. We've gotten them spayed & neutered, vaccinated, and caught up on other vet care. We've set up heated cat houses and insulated shelters, cat trees and comfy beds. Over a dozen cats call this property home.

But we don't own this property. We rent it, and last week we learned that our landlords are selling.

We're panicking! It's not a good time to find new housing on short notice, even when your housing doesn't involve a dozen feral cats. And some of these cats, like very feral Sad Boy and Lola, can't be relocated. If we moved, we would have to leave them behind. We would have to just leave them.

 

So we are trying to buy the house. 

We had no plans to buy a house right now, and we're not necessarily in a good position to buy a house, but here we are. What else are we gonna do?! It's simply not an option to leave the cats behind.

At the request of our amazing cat community, here is a way you can contribute. Funds donated here will go toward a down payment, closing costs, or other associated fees.

Please, please note: we are NOT a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We are not a cat shelter, rescue, or sanctuary. We are just individual people buying a private residence. Owning this property will allow us to stay here with the cats, continue caring for them, and eventually make some improvements that will better their care. But I want to be completely transparent that we are buying this house just as people, to have a place to live, and not as any kind of nonprofit cat facility.
