On the morning of April 20, 2021 our dear friends, the Huertas, lost their family home, along with all of their cherished belongings, in a fast burning electrical fire.

 While we are very grateful that no one in the family was injured, we are heartbroken to learn that their first home, which they just moved into 6 months ago, along with everything inside, including furniture, clothing, and memories  was burned beyond repair.

 We are reaching out to friends and family to raise much needed funds for Paco, Norma, Melanie and Cassandra to help them cover expenses and alleviate some of the stress they are facing as they work to recover from this horrible loss. Their situation is especially devastating because their home and it’s contents were not insured. 

We have so much love and respect for this hard working family who have dedicated so much of their time and energy to families in the San Diego soccer community over the past 25 years. We want to do all we can to support them as they rebuild their home.

En la mañana del 20 de abril de 2021, nuestros queridos amigos, la familia Huerta, perdieron su hogar, junto con todas sus preciadas pertenencias, en un incendio eléctrico que ardía rápidamente.

Si bien estamos agradecidos de que nadie en la familia haya resultado herido, nos rompe el corazón saber que su primer hogar, al cual se mudaron hace 6 meses, junto con todo lo que había adentro, incluyendo los muebles, la ropa y los recuerdos, se quemó hasta los cimientos.

Estamos tratando de alcanzar a amigos y familiares para recaudar fondos muy necesitados para Paco, Norma, Melanie y Cassandra para ayudarlos a cubrir los gastos y aliviar parte del estrés que enfrentarán mientras trabajan para recuperarse de esta horrible pérdida. Su situación es especialmente devastadora porque su vivienda y su contenido no estaban asegurados. 

Tenemos mucho amor y respeto por esta familia trabajadora que ha dedicado gran parte de su tiempo y energía a las familias de la comunidad del fútbol de San Diego durante los últimos 25 años. Queremos hacer todo lo posible para apoyarlos mientras reconstruyen su hogar.
