Help the Hudgins Purchase an Accessible Van

The Hudgins family has faced far more than their share of medical issues and have handled them all with faith and grace. They were recently told that Sutton needs a power wheelchair in order to function and have the very best quality of life. It will reduce strain on her body and help her to be able to be more involved with the activities going on around her. But here's the hard part- power chairs are really heavy (upwards of 300 pounds). There is no way that one person would be able to lift one into a vehicle. For this reason, they need to purchase an accessible van.

 

Now, if you know anything at all about accessible vans, you know that they are crazy expensive. Hudgins have been informed that the power chair will be ready for Sutton within 60 days and therefore have very little time to try to save up for this incredibly large purchase. This is also something that insurance does not cover at all, leaving them in a very hard situation.

 

Like many people, this family has a hard time asking for help, even when anyone who knows them knows just how much they deserve it. They are always willing to help others any way they can and are stunning examples of the kind of people we should all try to be. Anything that can be done to lighten their load will be so appreciated!
