My name is Maya Barrow, and I am starting this gofundme page to fundraise funds to help the Horowitz Family with the cost of repairs and critical tree removal caused by a severe storm (7/22/24) in Marshall, NC.

Katie and Mitch, have been part of the Marshall Community with their children, Nicholas and Orianna. Thankfully everyone is safe and the storm did not cause any injuries to the family. It’s been a difficult year for the family, as Mitch has recently recovered from a quadruple bypass surgery. This damage from the unexpected severe storm has put the family in a difficult position, as the damage to their property is extensive and there are several trees that require immediate removal in order to prevent any further damage to the house. All funds raised will go towards the cost of repairs to the roof, property, and tree removal.

I have included pictures of some of the damage that was caused by this severe storm.

As many of you know, Katie is also a local pet groomer working with animals. Her car has also been damaged, but thankfully her grooming van did not sustain any damage.
