Desperate times call for desperate measures. We are currently battling to keep our children in 50/50 split custody while their mother is trying to move them to Wenatchee and only allow visitation for 2 days out of the month. This completely unwarranted move is costing us immensely. We have proceeded with mediation, but she is not willing to budge. We only found out about this proposed move in December and the rapid move to trial has cost an immense amount of money. We have exhausted our own personal assets because, well, these are our children and there is nothing more important. We aren't asking for much, but anything you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

For context: she is moving the children away from their father because her current husband's father is in bad health. She has financial backers who can avoid her feeling any impact of this while she is bankrupting myself and my wife. We have been divorced since 2017 and have always engaged in a 50/50 custody agreement and co-parented with little disruption. My wife and I are physically ill over the thought of losing constant engagement and time with our two children. (My wife has been in their lives since they were 4 and 6 years old; they are now 12 and 14.)

The thought that money is the only issue standing between us maintaining our counsel and getting through trial is making us put our pride aside and ask for help. Anything helps. Honestly, anything at this point.

We are good people and great parents. I don't understand why this is happening, but I am definitely ready to admit that we need financial help.
