Help the Holl's unforseen medical related bills
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Chris Kim. On December 22nd my stepfather went in to have a meningioma removed from his brain. During the procedure he suffered a stroke, subsequently he developed blood clots in both legs resulting in two pulmonary embolisms. This rendered him unable to breathe on his own. Afterwards he was weened off of the ventilator and had a tracheostomy and a peg for tube feeding. Following these procedures, his inter-cranial pressure rose resulting in the need for a shunt to be placed in his head. Dave is currently at a long term care facility where they are working on reducing the swelling in his head. The ultimate goal here is to gain mobility and downsize his trache so he can speak and eat again. He currently can only open his left eye. We still do not know the extent of the permanent damage. However we remain hopeful and would appreciate your prayers. For those of you who do not know Dave, he is a loving husband, wonderful father, and a devout Christian. He enjoys music and the outdoors. He is known for his generosity and big heart. The medical bills and insurance costs are just too much for us to handle, and this is just the beginning. There will be costs for at home care, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, medical equipment rental, and nursing care as well as costs to keep him medically insured. Any donation that you can give in order to alleviate or offset this burden would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance and God bless.
