Help the Hollis fam rebuild their home.
On the evening of August 18th Sarah, Misty and the kids were in the their home when an electrical fire broke out in the attic. They were able to get the kids out as soon as they smelled the smoke. Thankfully the fire was able to be contained but unfortunately it left extensive damage behind.
This home is a family home that was passed down from Sarah’s grandparents. While it is a blessing to continue raising Hollis kids in this home full of memories this fire could not have come at a more inconvenient time. Due to legal hold ups with the will and transition of title there is no home insurance to fall back on. The home is considered unlivable at this time due to extensive damage and it will take some time and money to rebuild what was destroyed. The boys and foster care bedroom took the most damage. The home will need all new electrical wiring, smoke repair, new air ducts, insulation, walls and lighting in damaged areas. This is just the repairs we’ve seen evident. Contractors will come and give official estimates soon. Until then they will need a place to stay and a plan to get their home back.
We are grateful that no one was injured and the home is still standing. Sarah and Misty have 4 beautiful children that they adopted and have opened their home to the foster care system yet again all out of the good in their heart. Sarah and Misty both have careers in a field to help others beat hard times and better themselves. They would give the shirt off of their back to help someone and now they are in a time of need. Sarah and Misty are strong mamas who will tackle this mountain with grace and confidence but I want to offer a way to help them cover the costs of the repair.
